The scientific and academic system does not accept borders and territory and goes beyond the geographical limits and breaks the borders. The progress of science and getting closer to global standards in the field of education and research in any society requires the acquisition of new knowledge, its development and completion, and the expansion of the boundaries of knowledge in various fields. Undoubtedly, in order to achieve this goal, the exchange of knowledge and scientific experiences among societies is essential and vital. Therefore, the establishment of academic relations and the role of Office for Scientific and International Cooperation (OSIC) in universities, as the custodian of scientific and international communications, is undeniable and has a special importance and position.
Establishing educational-research communication with scientific and international assemblies, creating the necessary facilities for the participation of selected representatives of the university in those assemblies and providing study opportunities is one of the criteria for measuring the scientific life of the university. Every university tries to determine a special contribution for this goal among its diverse and numerous activities and by establishing and consolidating these relationships, it will benefit more from the scientific, research and technological achievements of other university centers.
This office moves towards the direction of growth and progress with the cooperation of the IRIB and other domestic and international universities and scientific, research and educational institutions. The presence and active participation of the university in various regional, international and domestic unions and organizations, as well as planning, consultation and follow-up, to realize the goals of the organization and the university, show this importance.
IRIB University changed its status from a faculty to a university in 2012 and since then, with a new approach, it has started extensive international activities.
